Chiropractic is a safe and natural hands-on approach to overall health and wellness. Chiropractors adjust the spine and extremities in order to improve biomechanics and restore the body to its natural state of optimal health.

Chiropractors focus on disorders of the nervous system and spine. Chiropractors primarily perform chiropractic adjustments to the spine and other parts of the body to correct alignment, alleviate pain, improve function, and suppose the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Chiropractors believe that the spinal column can become strained and stressed due to physical overuse, disuse, or a sudden injury such as a motor vehicle accident. This can lead to imbalances in the nervous system resulting in pain and dysfunction.

Your nervous system is the control center of your body. Structural changes such as spinal misalignment interrupt normal nerve system function, negatively effecting your natural innate ability to respond and adapt in a healthy manner. Chiropractic care helps restore balance which optimizes the nervous system function and promotes the overall expression of health.

Activator Methods

Activator Methods is a chiropractic technique that utilizes a small, handheld instrument that delivers a gentle, precise impulse to the spine resulting in the restoration of motion to the spinal vertebrae or joint targeted. This chiropractic technique was founded by Dr. Arlan Fuhr in 1967.

Activator Methods is more effective when treating severe pain from a joint sprain because this method will increase the joint motion much faster and better than manual manipulation. With manual manipulation, patients tend to guard or tighten around the injured joint, which limits the effectiveness of the adjustment. When a patient is uneasy or uncomfortable with a certain adjusting technique, they tend to get tense and guard. This does not occur with Activator Methods because it is the gentlest way to adjust a subluxation. Muscles are less likely to resist an activator adjustment because this is a quick and precise technique.

This technique is my preferred and primary method of adjusting when compared to manual manipulation. This technique is well researched and is very effective. It is also considered the second most used technique within the chiropractic profession and can be used on patients of all ages. This technique can be used for spinal subluxations and extremity subluxations. The Activator protocol is a precise and logical way to analyze a person’s neurological system.

Testimonials

Dr. Jessica is a blessing. She really gets to know you and sees the whole picture when treating you instead of focusing on a few areas of pain. She gets to know you and your lifestyle and has created a long term plan with me to help alleviate and eliminate pain. I feel better after my first session with Dr. Jessica and I continue to feel better after each visit.

I had an amazing experience with Jessica as my chiropractor. She was sociable and professional. I eventually brought my husband and kids whom also enjoyed her sessions. I had extreme backpains and she took great care of it. She even helped my teenage daughter with her menstrual cramps. Best chiropractor ever!
