At Thalhamer Chiropractic PLLC a variety of techniques and modalities are offered to help facilitate healing.

  • Activator Technique

    • Activator Methods utilizes a small, handheld instrument that delivers a gentle, precise impulse to the spine resulting in the restoration of motion to the spinal vertebrae or joint targeted.

  • Extremity Adjusting

    • Chiropractic often emphasizes the importance of nerve interference within the spine, but nerve interference can also occur in the extremities.  Muscle tests are used as indicators for extremity adjusting and provide instant feedback for patients when their strength returns immediately.

  • Applied Kinesiology

    • Applied Kinesiology is a system that evaluates chemical, mental, and structural components of health. Manual muscle testing and other diagnostic methods are utilized to evaluate body function through musculoskeletal system dynamics. This technique was developed based on the belief that muscles are linked to a particular organ and/or gland. Specific muscle weaknesses can indicate an internal problem such as nerve damage, reduced blood supply, chemical imbalances, or other organ or gland problems. It is believed that by correcting this muscle weakness, you can help heal a problem in the associated internal organ.

Healing Modalities

  •  Graston Technique

    • Graston Technique is a soft-tissue instrument-assisted mobilization therapy that helps reduce the patient’s pain and increase function. This therapy also facilitates the breaking down of scar tissue, breaking down fascia constrictions, and promotes healing for injured soft tissue. Some of the potential benefits are decreasing overall treatment time, faster rehabilitation/recovery, reducing the need for anti-inflammatory medications, and resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent.

  • Kinesio Taping Method

    • Kinesio Taping Method is a taping technique that provides support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the range of motion to assist the body’s natural healing process.

  •  Hyperice Hypervolt Massage

    • Hypervolt helps with relieving muscle soreness and stiffness, improving range of motion, and promoting circulation.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a safe and natural hands-on approach to overall health and wellness. Chiropractors adjust the spine and extremities in order to improve biomechanics and restore the body to its natural state of optimal health.

Chiropractors focus on disorders of the nervous system and spine. Chiropractors primarily perform chiropractic adjustments to the spine and other parts of the body to correct alignment, alleviate pain, improve function, and suppose the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Chiropractors believe that the spinal column can become strained and stressed due to physical overuse, disuse, or a sudden injury such as a motor vehicle accident. This can lead to imbalances in the nervous system resulting in pain and dysfunction.

Your nervous system is the control center of your body. Structural changes such as spinal misalignment interrupt normal nerve system function, negatively effecting your natural innate ability to respond and adapt in a healthy manner. Chiropractic care helps restore balance which optimizes the nervous system function and promotes the overall expression of health.

Think of it like this! Imagine what your teeth would look like if you never brushed them or went to the dentist. Nasty image right? So why would you do that to your spine?

Your spine and brain are the most important structures in your body. The brain sends signals through the nerves of your spine to speak to the rest of your body. The human body has 12 biological systems, 78 organs, over 600 muscles, 100 trillion cells, and approximately 46 miles of nerves (809 football fields) that needs proper communication from the brain and spine to work optimally.

Based on that, why would you wait to be in pain in order to see a chiropractor? Would you wait until your teeth are rotted and falling out to see a dentist?
